My Brave Little Prince

The room became completely silent.

Grandpa looked confused.

“What do you mean?”

Ethan slowly handed him the toy airplane.

Everyone gathered around.

Written on the bottom of the airplane were four words.

“See you at Hangar 7.”

Grandpa’s face instantly changed.

The color drained from his cheeks.

His hands began shaking.

Ethan’s mother noticed immediately.

“Dad… what’s wrong?”

Grandpa stared at the message. For several seconds he couldn’t speak.

inally he whispered:

“That’s impossible.”

Ethan’s father frowned.

“What is impossible?”

Grandpa slowly sat down.

His eyes remained fixed on the airplane.

“Hangar 7 was where I used to work.”

Everyone looked confused.

“It was an old airport hangar outside Dallas.”

“But it closed years ago.”

Ethan looked at him.

“Then who wrote the message?”

Grandpa swallowed hard.

“Only one person ever used those words.”

The room fell silent again.

“Who?” Ethan’s mother asked.

Grandpa looked down.

“My best friend.”

The old man paused.

Then quietly added:

“He passed away ten years ago.”

Nobody spoke.

The doctor standing nearby exchanged glances with the nurse.

Surely there had to be another explanation.

But Grandpa wasn’t finished.

“My friend and I always joked about meeting at Hangar 7 after retirement.”

“It was our thing.”

“Nobody else knew about it.”

Ethan stared at the airplane.

“But I never wrote it.”

His mother shook her head.

“Neither did I.”

The mystery deepened.

Later that evening, Grandpa couldn’t stop thinking abouthe message.

After leaving the hospital, he drove across Dallas.

An hour later he arrived at the abandoned airport.

The gates were rusted.

The buildings were empty.

Yet something caught his eye.

A single light glowing inside the old Hangar 7.

Grandpa’s heart started racing.

The place had been abandoned for years.

Slowly he walked toward the door.

It creaked open.

Inside sat an old wooden box covered in dust.

Attached to it was a note.

The same handwriting.

The same handwriting from the airplane.

Grandpa’s hands trembled as he opened the note.

It contained only one sentence.

“The promise isn’t finished yet.”

At that exact moment, his phone rang.

It was Ethan’s mother.

Grandpa answered immediately.

Her voice was shaking.

“Dad…”

“What happened?”

There was a long pause.

Then she whispered:

“Ethan just told us something impossible.”

Grandpa felt a chill run down his spine.

“What did he say?”

Her answer made him freeze.

“He says he knows what’s inside the box.”
