The Little Visitors

The room fell completely silent.

Nobody understood what the message meant.

The baby’s mother looked at her husband.

“What do you mean?”

His hands trembled as he stared at the feather.

The tiny words were clearly engraved.

“They know tomorrow.”

The nurse carefully examined it.

“Tomorrow what?”

Nobody had an answer.

That night, the silver feather was placed inside a secure hospital drawer.

The doctors wanted to study it in the morning.

But when morning arrived, something impossible had happened.

The feather was gone.

The drawer remained locked.

No signs of tampering.

No fingerprints.

Nothing.

It had simply disappeared.

The mystery spread throughout the hospital.

Later that afternoon, the baby’s grandfather arrived to visit.

The moment he entered the room, the newborn smiled.

Then Grandpa noticed a framed family photograph on the table.

His expression changed instantly.

“What is that doing here?”

Everyone looked confused.

The photo showed the baby’s late grandmother holding a small bird.

On the back of the frame was a handwritten note nobody had noticed before.

The handwriting belonged to Grandma.

The message read:

“If the birds return, follow them.”

The room became silent.

Grandma had written that message years before the baby was born.

Nobody could explain it.

Just then, a loud chirping sound came from outside.

Everyone rushed to the window.

The same three birds were sitting on the hospital ledge.

Waiting.

Watching.

As if they wanted someone to follow them.

Then one bird tapped its beak against the glass three times.

Tap.

Tap.

Tap.

And dropped something onto the windowsill.

A small golden key.

Attached to it was a tag.

Written on the tag were four chilling words:

“Open Grandma’s Blue Box.”

Everyone stared in shock.

Because nobody in the room had ever mentioned the blue box.

Except Grandma.

And she had passed away years ago.

To Be Continued…
