The Skyline Message
The Skyline Message
The ticking of the silver pocket watch echoed through the abandoned nursery.
Tick…
Tick…
Tick…
No one are to move.
The doctor stared at the watch.
“It stopped working decades ago,” he whispered.
“But now… it’s alive.”
Suddenly, every empty bassinet in the nursery began rocking gently on its own.
The mother clutched her newborn tightly.
The baby wasn’t crying.
He was smiling.
Then the watch stopped.
Complete silence filled the room.
A hidden speaker crackled to life.
A calm voice echoed through the darkness.
“Patient Number One has returned.”
The doctor turned pale.
He slowly walked toward an old metal cabinet hidden behind the wall.
Inside as a dusty patient register from more than thirty years ago.
He opened the first page.
Written at the top was one name.
The newborn’s full name.
The father stepped back in disbelief.
“How could his name be here before he was even born?”
Before anyone could answer, the hospital intercom suddenly came alive.
“Please report to Rooftop Observation Deck.”
Nobody had pressed any button.
The family looked at each other.
The baby suddenly pointed toward the ceiling and laughed.
Then a folded blueprint slowly drifted out from inside the old patient register.
Across the top were four handwritten words.
“The Final Room Awaits.”
The doctor unfolded the blueprint.
A secret room was marked beneath the hospital.
One room.
No room number.
Only one word.
“Origin.”
The lights flickered one last time.
The baby’s heartbeat monitor beeped steadily.
Then the blueprint slowly turned over by itself.
On the back was a single sentence.
“Do not open the final door alone.”
The room fell silent.
